Before we start...
Hi everyone! Hi kids!
I bet you're all surprised by the fact that that I'm reviewing a mobile game instead of an animated film or a cartoon today. Well, as they say, variety is the spice of life and it would get boring pretty fast if I just keep sticking to the same things over and over again. Either way, I'd like to briefly talk about one of the many mobile games that defined my childhood - Bounce Tales. Enjoy!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Bounce Tales is a game that both kids and adults will love and a true classic of the late 2000s and early 2010s Nokia mobile gaming.
In this game, the player takes on the role of Bounce, a little red ball who wakes up one misty morning in Sky Bean Land, only to discover that the colours of the world around him are disappearing. Moreover, Mole, a friend of his, now seems to have been hypnotised by the evil Hypnotoid, a cube-shaped creature who seeks to take control of Sky Bean Land. It's now up to bounce to set things right and save his other friends...
First off, let's take a look at the graphics. The cartoony visual design of this game is vibrant and pleasing to the eye, creating a fun and imaginative world for the player to collect points (eggs) and move in. It's filled with a variety of colourful levels, beautiful backgrounds, many obstacles and traps set throughout, as well as flowers to bounce (no pun intended!) off of. There's also a timer set for the player and a score board in top corners of the screen.
The gameplay is not too complicated, all you have to do is collect eggs while overcoming numerous obstacles and save some friends along the way, but it is highly entertaining. You can also unlock new shapes, like a beach ball or a boulder!
The story itself, while rather simple and seemingly generic, is engaging as heck and will give a lot of joy to players both young and old. Kids and adults alike will love playing as Bounce and trying to save his world from becoming dull. The mechanics are also smooth and well-planned.
Another positive aspect is the soundtrack. My favourite track is arguably the music that plays during the bonus levels, it's just so catchy!
All in all, a great game for the whole family, despite the occasional hiccups.
Before we say goodbye...
Thank you all for sticking around for my very first (but certainly NOT last) mobile game review. I'm glad I was able to take one more look at this fun game I loved to play as a child.
See you all in July.
Love,
your Diva
